Established in 1846, Taabinga Station is a living monument to Queensland’s pastoral history. This heritage-listed working cattle property and vineyard offers a rare "digital detox" experience. Managed by descendants of the original pioneering families, the estate breathes old-world country charm, inviting guests to step back in time among historic outbuildings, ancient trees, and a boutique single-vineyard rooted in rich volcanic soil.

Taabinga Station’s vineyard sits on a red loamy rise with views to the beautiful Bunya Mountains. Running from north to south it’s perfectly positioned to catch hours of sunshine and the summer rains from the north west.

The vineyard, with its traditional varieties of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay was planted in1995, making its 25 year old vines among the oldest in the South Burnett and at 2.5 hectares it is also one of the smallest. “Small but perfect” is our guiding principle – small batch, single vineyard wines made with great care by carefully selected wine-makers.

First selected in 1844, Taabinga Station has been in the current family for four generations, each generation passionate that conservation of natural bushland and native animals can be managed alongside progressive agricultural methods.

Watching the sun set over the Bunya’s at the end of the vineyard, with a glass of Taabinga Sugar Gum Shiraz and listening to the birds call their last, is one of life’s small but perfect moments.
