Affordable Camping in Queensland’s Fourth Oldest Town

The Nanango Showgrounds offer a versatile and expansive camping experience managed by the Nanango Show Society. Spanning 35 acres, the grounds are ideal for everything from individual travellers to large caravan rallies and “big rig” motorhomes. It is the perfect base for visiting the Nanango Country Markets or exploring the South Burnett, offering an authentic country atmosphere just a short walk from the town centre.

2026 Camping Rates & Facilities

We welcome all travellers, including large groups. Bookings occur upon check-in with the caretaker; we do not take pre-bookings for general stays. EFTPOS payment is available for your convenience.

Nightly Rates:

• Powered Sites: $25 per couple | $19 per single
• Unpowered Sites: $19 per couple | $12 per single
• Extra Persons: $5 per person
• Equine Stays: Cattle/Horse yards are available at $6 per horse, per night.

On-Site Amenities:

• Facilities: Four amenities blocks are available across the grounds. Three blocks include hot showers, and facilities are wheelchair friendly.
• Showers Only: Available for non-campers at $2 per person.
• Waste Management: A dedicated dump point is available on-site for guest use.
• Arena Hire: Access to the Len Bochmann Arena is available ($6 per person) with lights available for $20 per hour.

Nanango Events & Market Weekends

Camping is available year-round, including during the famous Nanango Country Markets, held the 1st Saturday of every month. Please note that the grounds reach capacity quickly during major regional events:

• Annual Nanango Show: 18 April 2026.
• Heritage Nanango Country Music Muster: 10–13 September 2026.
• Nanango Campdraft: 13–15 November 2026.
• Waterhole Rocks: A popular rock-and-roll festival held annually in October.

Arrival & Caretaker Information

A maximum stay of seven nights typically applies. Upon arrival, please follow these instructions to check in:

• Entrance: Enter through the main gate off Cairns Street.
• Finding the Caretaker: The caretaker is located approximately 200 meters down on the left-hand side after entering the main gate.
