The Murgon Visitor Information Centre is a community hub for the town and surrounding district, providing local information about attractions and accommodation facilities. The Centre offers a retail outlet for indigenous art, local crafts and general souvenirs so call in and chat to a ‘local’.

The Wondai Visitor Information Centre forms a part of the South Burnett Region Timber Industry Museum Complex. Listed as one of the top 10 things to see and do on Australia’s Country Way (Tamworth to Rockhampton), this multi-award winning attraction preserves and celebrates the history of the timber industry which underpinned the early settlement of the region and has continued to play an important part in its development.
The VIC / Timber Museum is open 9.00am to 4.00pm on weekdays, and 9.00am to 1.00pm on weekends except New Years Day, Good Friday, ANZAC Day, Christmas and Boxing Days. Most days, woodworkers can be seen demonstrating their craft in the on-site Workshop. Entry to the complex is free

Located within the Kingaroy Information Art and Heritage Precinct in Haly Street opposite the peanut silos, the tourist information centre boasts an extensive range of locally produced products such as jams, chutneys, gourmet biscuits, peanuts and oils to name a few. An Art Gallery and Heritage Museum are conveniently located in the building to explore while you’re asking for information on the wonderful wineries, accommodation facilities and amazing things to do in the South Burnett.
The Centre is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm weekdays, 9.00am to 1.00pm weekends and Public Holidays, with the exception of: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day when the Centre is closed.

The tourist information centre exists to help both visitors and locals alike discover all the wonderful things we have to see and do in the region, including wineries and accommodation, providing maps and brochures as well as fossicking licences, recreational permits and tennis court hire. The Centre gift shop offers the visitor a range of local publications, and souvenir / gift lines. There is also a Sports Wall of Fame in the courtyard.

Housed in an authentic timber slab hut, this accredited visitor information centre offers a one-stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Blackbutt Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on things to see and do and where to eat. Permission Forms and keys for the Rail Trail are available at the Centre. Call in and meet our friendly volunteers.
